How much turmoil, pain and confusion can a person endure? Confessions of a Wedding Planner skilfully draws the reader along for the ride. With Nica's heart breaking, she sets out to give Jake and his fiancé the best wedding ever, but her feelings are constantly being sabotaged by unexpected surprises. The best man Levi is one of those surprises. Nica has always despised him, however when he turns the charm on Nica, she finds herself succumbing to him, and her heart gets broken all over again.

There were some unanswered questions when the story came to an end and one would assume that there is a follow on book. However, it was an excellent read; hilarious in parts and traumatic in others. The book is also surprisingly clean and can be read by anyone, provided you can handle the pace!

LOVED IT!!! Let me start by saying, there is maybe 1 in 10 or 1 in 20 times that a book will keep me up at night--where I can't wait to get back to reading it the next day. Most of the time, I want to skip the middle part and the drama of the H and h and whatever is keeping them apart and just read the final 2 chapters of them having their HEA. I loved Veronica and Levi (swoon). Here you have Jake meeting with Nica. They were together for 6 months I think and on a trip to France, he meets the woman he can't live without. He promptly breaks up with Nica to be with Sandrene. Nica thought maybe he wanted to get back together but nope, he and the new gal are getting married and he wants Nica to be their wedding planner! What?! Being still in love with Jake, she says yes just to be close to him. Enter the irritating playboy, Levi, as best man, and Veronica has her plate full. I loved the play of emotions with Veronica and her finally coming to move on. I didn't realize this was continued in the next book, but you could just read this one and be fine. It doesn't end on a cliffhanger.

I think I'd like to read this one again, and soon. There's supposedly a fine line between love and hate and our heroine subtly dances back and forth between the emotions with her Hero. I'd like to read that again. There's an eye-opening bonus chapter at the end of the book that gives the Hero's perspective at a pivotal part in the story.
What would you do if your ex-boyfriend asked you to plan his wedding to his new fiance?? Yep!! That's exactly what happened to event planner extraordinaire Veronica's ex, Jake, takes her to lunch and surprises her with the "happy news." Not having had any contact since they broke up 3 months ago, when he met his now fiance, Nica, thinks that he wants to reconcile...yeah..she's a bit off with that one. Having a hard time saying the word "NO" to Jake, she takes the job. With many surprises.

The best man, Levi, whom Nica has NEVER liked is a huge part of the wedding planning. With the soon-to-be-bride, Sandrine, in France Levi steps in to help Jake out when he can't make meetings concerning wedding decisions.

To top it off, Sandrine is short a bridesmaid, and begs Nica to be in her wedding since they are such good friends now. So, they fly her to Paris for a custom made dress to wear, they offer to pay her staff double because she can't "work" the wedding, and they want all of this done in 4 weeks. But that's ok, because they are soon crazy rich. She comes from one of the wealthiest families in France. In fact, her Mother doesn't approve of Jake, she thinks her daughter is marrying down. He's a doctor as well and comes from a wealthy family too. So her Mother doesn't come to her wedding, but her father does.

Nica and Levi develop feelings for each other, but it turns out that he has had them for years.
