This is an awesome book! Amy Shannon has a wonderful way of telling a story. I liked Alex, she is a strong independant woman, who is trying to get over some traumatic things from her past. Unlike most books, it is hard to figure out the ending. She keeps you waiting and it is wonderful to be surprised. Do yourself a favor and buy this book!!!!Product details

I found myself unable to put this book down. I have 100's of books on my kindle and have to say this is one of my favorites.
I was given this book in exhange for an honest an honest review. I absolutely loved this book and Amy does a good job a writing. The story line was great! I loved the suspense of not knowing how the book would end. Alex is trying to leave her life behind and start a new one. I can't wait to read the next book!
Unwritten Life is a psychological thriller about a woman desired by too many men in her life. It's a well-plotted, gripping mystery about stalkers and how far they will go to get at the object of their desire.

Life happens, our world is made up of constant pasts due to the ever forthcoming future; as long as we keep moving the past stays the past... Or does it?
For Alex Garrison, her past was... well just her past; until it wasn't anymore. For her the past became her present, in various forms; some to cause her danger, some whom are complete strangers trying to help, and others who disguise themselves because their truth would be shocking!
I found this book to be of great interest to read, the main scenes and characters are of everyday people with some not so great luck; which could be the very reason that they are all together... The storyline is built with several characters (some may say too many), yet they equally co-exist to further along their need for understanding the plot.
My suggestion after reading this; know who your "true" friends are, as well as who your "true" enemies might be, never turn your back on those that you may not fully know as friend... All in all, choose your friends wisely, keep friends close but enemies closer, never expect a bad situation to just go away, and know the past is just the past until a presence is needed.
I rate this reading a 5 *****! I look forward to further reading of her upcoming books.

Alex has been trying to forget her past. The fact is, she runs from her past. Somehow, like a supernatural entity, her past follows and haunts her. It even finds her! How can this happen? She relocated and completely changed her life. Her habits, skills, employment even her entire identity has been changed!
It begins with her best friend appearing out of nowhere. He is a constant reminder of what she has tried to erase from her memories. -Who she was and what she did.
This story builds up and then makes your heart drop when Alex ends up with a stalker. As the reader, you want so much for Alex to overcome her past and find true happiness. Yet she finds herself in love, in danger and in turmoil.
I believe Amy Shannon can write with such chilling believability because of her own past experiences. I do not know any more than is written in her biography, this is strictly my opinion. I know from experience, an author’s best writings often come from a knowledge of what they write.
I am anxious to read Amy’s entire library. She is a new author who should not be overlooked. Her words scream Attention!
This book gripped me from the start! It is the sort of book that takes you on a journey which is so unpredictable and interesting that it feels incredibly rewarding and also a privilege to be on, due to its complexity and its cathartic reappraisal of all that privacy means to people. Reading it is life changing in terms of offering a new vista, which is unorthodox and one which offers insight and perceptive genius. I felt compelled to read on and on. I love this book as it deals with the subject matter with such dexterity, enabling us an intimacy with the main character, Alex, that we usually don't have with characters, and opening our eyes to the invisible warfare imposed by the stalker.
We feel uncomfortable deep under the skin, as the inclusiveness of the author's style makes us realise the sheer enormity of feeling that there is someone prowling through boundaries. The brilliance of Shannon's language use and the way that she develops the story means that we are treated to a thrilling read, which is transforming in its grip on our psyches.
We realise the cat and mouse situation is a game to the perpetrator, and Alex finds that she needs to make changes within her own life to deal with the emotional undercurrents. She tries to digest the impact on her, and her will to be able to live her own normal life remains a focus of this stunning book.
This is the sort of book I love to read! I have nearly finished it but I wanted to post a review before I reach the end, as I feel so excited to be reading this novel. This book seems so real and the fact of being targeted by someone shows vulnerabilities in the protagonist, making it seem like a dystopian novel, yet it is also about the human spirit. The poison caused by cruel people is written about very eloquently - a clever novel, written bravely and with panache! This is a book that has made me want to look at more by this author...
