This book was okay. It's a light read, but I didn't care for the way the author kept skipping over huge portions of time in the characters' lives. I think the plot line was a bit scattered, and it never addressed Emily's husband abusing her, they treated it more like he's just a jerk. I think the author should have pointed out that his actions were not just that of a jerk, but an abusive spouse. That bothered me. The writing is pretty simplistic, but it is chick lit, so it's expected to be a light read. There were parts that were slow enough for my attention to wander, but there were interesting parts as well. Overall it's an okay book, but it's not a book I'll read again.
